Asbestos Management Planner Initial
The management planner reviews asbestos building inspection reports and other pertinent information to determine whether an asbestos hazard exists in a building. In addition all K-12 schools in the US are required to have a management plan. Attending the 3-Day Building Inspector class is a prerequisite. Topics include the hazard assessment process, details of the abatement options, developing an operations & maintenance program, analytical techniques and regulatory requirements for schools. Some states such as Ohio require individuals to complete both the inspector and management planner courses in order to be eligible for their license to inspect or develop management plans. Past attendees have included: consultants, building and facility managers, school district officials, safety and environmental managers and regulatory compliance officers. Each attendee must successfully complete a 50-question multiple choice exam in order to receive certification. This course can be conducted onsite.
