OSHA’s Hazwoper standard requires employees that respond to emergency releases of hazardous substances receive the appropriate level of training. Technician level responders are capable of both offensive and defensive actions as part of an emergency response. Objectives of the class include ensuring the participant can recognize and assess the event to determine the necessary response procedures, use all necessary PPE and monitoring equipment, establish an appropriate decontamination system and provide site control to ensure the safety of all involved. A simulated response drill will be incorporated in to the class. A 50-question exam is administered at the conclusion of the course.There are no currently scheduled classes, however PTA can conduct this course for groups either at our training center or onsite at a client's facility.
