Asbestos Building Inspector Initial
This course is specifically designed for those individuals who will be taking bulk samples in buildings to identify ACM, compiling inspection reports and those who desire the need to understand the inspection process. Since EPA requires a thorough inspection of all buildings prior to renovations and demolitions as well as the re-inspection of school buildings every three years, many different individuals may need to take this class. Detailed information concerning the many steps in the inspection process as well as the bulk sampling is included. This class includes a 4-hour demonstration inspection exercise. Past attendees have included: consultants, abatement contractors, demolition contractors, building and facility managers, school district officials, safety and environmental managers and regulatory compliance officers. Each attendee must successfully complete a 50-question multiple choice exam in order to receive certification.
